I'd like to capture the screen and webcam and have the webcam portion fill a portion of the resulting video ... a feature I just saw in Soapbox.  Can it do it?

Hi Randy, yes that's possible. You can use a combination of scaling the webcam track (under Properties, on the right) to get the size right, while also using a Mask effect (under Visual Effects).

you can edit video like soapbox too. you can resize webcam video or use crop to cut out any portion of webcam video that you unwant.

So the only difference, in this one feature, is that Soapbox is doing that automatically ... but with Camtasia (Mac) I'm reading I'd have more control. (The articles I read seem to indicate that Soapbox is good for quick and dirty and Camtasia is more in the realm of Premiere? Correct? And you have a free trial so no reason not to see how it feels.)

The Free trial is watermarked if you produce a video.

If you purchase Camtasia.

You can reproduce the video. Without a watermark.Provided you saved the project and all the media related to the project.
