Can you bring back the adjustable arrow from Camtasia 8?

The blue arrow callout in Camtasia 8 had handles for all aspects of the arrow allowing you to resize both tip length and width as well as body. Why were these adjustable handles removed? I see a couple other arrow styles were added, but I prefer being able to customize my own beyond just length and width. Despite buying a 2019 license I went back and found a Camtasia 8 download from a 3rd party site simply because I was annoyed at not having this feature, despite all of the other upgrades and enhancements.

I also liked being able to do a full screen preview before publishing. Again, not sure why this was removed.
BTW thank you for bringing back Library thumbnails. I use Camtasia 9 at work and it's very annoying not having the Thumbnails and having to click for a large preview of each.

Thanks. I was able to find that part after I posted, but I’m glad to have it posted in case I need a reference.

I support your request for resizable dimensions for arrows. I also miss that feature.

kayakmans technique works.

Here it is in Camtasia 2019 using the 3-D edge effect. All fill effects are still available in updated versions of Camtasia. I created and exported the arrow in Camtasia 8.

I expect many of you no longer have “Or never did” have Camtasia 8 installed on your computer.

Rather than have you install Camtasia 8 just for this purpose.  I’ve uploaded the .camproj file required to import that arrow.

Just follow kayakman’s video “Above” to install.

While it is at least a workaround so you can take advantage of the 2019 features. You do lose the arrow point handles once you open it in 2019. Basically you would still need studio 8 to fine tune the shape and then export it to 2019. Once in 2019 the only thing you can change is height and width. While I would still like TechSmith to reinclude the handles on the shape, it is a good workaround so thank you.

Btw anyone who needs Camtasia 8 can download this version from a 3rd party site. Then use your 2019 license to authenticate. The only thing I’m not sure of, is if doing this counts as one of the two installs that are included with your license. So if you use your license number on 8 and 2019, does that mean the number won’t work on a 3rd install such as the Mac 2019 version?

No you don't need Camtasia 8 to get the adjustment handle.

Its the orange dot in this image..................
