I make videos for uploading to Youtube. Youtube tells me ...  "Your videos will process faster if you encode into a streamable file format. " I am Curious to know if there is a way to make my Videos into a streamable file format within Camtasia Studio.

Hey Fred,

I'm not an expert on streaming, but from what a google search has taught me, mp4 or quicktime will get you good results for streaming. What format were you attempting to upload to youtube?

Hello Logan,

Thanks for the Reply. I have been Converting my Videos to quicktime movies using Converterlite. They seem to upload fine I was just curious, if there was a "special" format for Streaming. Since I am already using quicktime format I will just disregard youtubes message. I am still kind of new to this video creation process, and love doing it. Especially with Camtasia Studio.

You know, Camtasia saved a Christmas video I made for my Family, the video camera I used malfunctioned or something and made like a Checker board pattern and lots of screeching in the video, but I was able to edit out those bad parts. Thank you Camtasia for being so AWESOME !

I will most definately be buying a License when my income tax comes in, and I will very much miss being able to use Camtasia when the Trial runs out in 17 days.

Thanks again

Hi Fred,

You shouldn't need any 3rd party conversion tool, or extra step in order to upload to YouTube.

If you're producing your videos from the Camtasia Studio editor using the Produce and Share function, you can produce and upload directly to YouTube right from Camtasia Studio.  If you'd prefer a local copy of your file, you can use one of the "MP4 only" presets in the production wizard, which will give you an MP4 file that you can upload manually to YouTube.

Hope this helps.

One other Question has come up.

My Videos are usually 30 minutes long give or take a few minutes, When I try to use Camtasia to upload to youtube a warning comes up that the video duration is too long and may fail. My youtube channel is set up so that my videos are permitted to be longer than 15 minutes.

Is there a way to configure Camtasia so that it can upload my videos that are longer the 15 minutes?
