Take a "snapshot" or export a frame/still capture in Camtasia

I would like to take a picture or snapshot of the preview screen at different times to add to my ibrabry. I could do this in movie maker. Is it possible in camtasia?

Yes, you can do this with File > Produce Special > Export frame as...

That will save the current preview frame as an image.

I can't find "Produce Special" on my file menu. Have later editions since this was posted changed how this is done?

If you are wanting to convert a video into a PNG Image file. Camtasia doesn't have an output setting for doing this.

 If you want to do this to a Camtasia recording file. I would "First" make my recordings using the .avi format.
This saves you the extra step of converting a .trec recording into video.

Then you can use another program to convert it into a Image file.

When I tried this, the image just came out black.  Any thoughts??
