Would like ability to customize toolbars (e.g. size and placement) and interface in Camtasia Studio

I have the PC version of Camtasia Studio. I don't much care for how the features buttons appear on screen. I've noticed that on the MAC version those same features are at the upper left corner and appear as smaller text rather than the big buttons.
I'd also like to be able to move items related to features (bin, library, call outs, audio, etc. to a second monitor leaving the timeline and preview screen on the main monitor.
Is any or all of this possible?

You can size the preview window left and right, or un-dock it to move it to a separate monitor http://screencast.com/t/khb1a9ehG

Does that mean that the preview window is the ONLY item I can move? What about customizing the features buttons so they are smaller or moving other windows?

I'm afraid you cannot customize the interface to the degree you are hoping for.

I'm going to change this question into a feature request so the team can better track it. Thanks for your feedback!

Hi Derek,

Just wanted to chime in and say thank you for mocking up your idea - very cool!

I am guessing you would like something like this so that you could silence the audio without having to select the audio tab, maybe put your favorite ten library assets in a convenient spot, etc?

Remember to "+1" the original post here if you haven't already.

Hi Josh,

Yes, that's right. A toolbar that would make it so you have one easy access place for your common commands without having to jump all over the place.

It would have to be customizable so you can tweak it for your given project at the time and it would have to be movable so you can position it anywhere along the timeline as you edit and work.

A right click on any command in any tab or menu could allow you to add the item to this toolbar. (Similar to the Quick Access Toolbar concept that MikeSammy and others have mentioned here.)

This would be a massive help and speed up workflows to no end. The product would become even more of a joy to use and less of a chore.

Thanks for getting back Josh. Good to see.

I would love a simple customizeable toolbar, too! Right now I'm doing some very repetitive work on 100 projects, and it would be great to have the buttons I want right in front of me, rather than having to keep switching between the Audio and Transition panels, having to select something, then switch again, etc.
