Hi
can i extract the audio file alone after I finish recording my video , so that I can process and fix the audio file separately using other software like adobe audition and then after that re-introduce it back to the video ?

Thank you for your answer ... One more question if I may , what do you think is best for recording a video tutorial for explaining some software ...recording audio then record silent video then fix the audio upon the silent video / or using camtasia as as and record both audio and video at the same time ...?

for doing software tutorial videos, I always record software video and audio [narration] at same time using Camtasia Recorder

this, for me, is by far the fastest technique

I always start Recorder paused

I plan what will happen and what I'll say for a short capture segment

I'll unpause Recorder and capture the short segment, narrating as I go along; then pause Recorder again

I'll then contemplate the next short segment

then it's unpause Recorder again and execute the next short segment

so on and so forth

after a few short segments are captured, I'll end the capture and immediately edit it in Camtasia's editor

this method allows me to get best narration with virtually no ahhs or umms in my narration, etc, so editing is minimized

if I do make a mistake during a capture, I just immediately redo it as a next capture segment, usually first saying "take 2"; easier to cut out a segment than to try and patch a bad one up

with a little practice, you can really fly using this technique
