Can I lock Markers when changing clip speed?

I have recorded a meeting, and have uploaded
that video into Camtasia 8 PC.
I need to transcribe it (manually, by listening and watching, and typing into a
word doc.)

slow down the clip to 90% - that allows me to type without having to constantly
pause the video.
I also
add markers at appropriate points - a question was asked, a point was made, the
start of a new topic...

Once a
full transcription has been done, I am now redy to go back to normal clip speed
and start prepping the video for production  - edits, callouts, markers,

Markers will not adjust accordingly - so now all that effort is lost.

ideas?  Seems like a "Lock Markers to track positioin" or some
such thing would be helpful.

If you attach your markers to the media instead of the timeline, it should behave as you want. Here's a quick example:

Thanks for that
info.  Works great!

Haven't looked at
the video, but clicked around somewhat randomly and discovered that clicking on
the bar just above the media allows creating a marker that is attached to the

 This is really
helpful - I had just been using keyboard shortcut 'm', as it is so easy to do
while you are watching, but an attached marker is so much more practical.

 BTW, TechSmith - you
ought to pepper the keywords "attach" and "lock" to any
topics related to Markers, as all my searches used those terms - never knew it
was called "pin".
