You bet! Post your Chomp video to ScreenChomp.com and you'll see a box below the video that looks like this:

From a computer (not an iPad), click the Download link next to the MP4 file. You'll be prompted to save the file to your hard drive. You can now upload it to most any video hosting site and use the embed code from that site on your blog post, webpage, or LMS. Or if your LMS, blog or website knows what to do with an MP4 file you can also upload it directly into that system.

(If someone comes up with a slick way to "download" that MP4 to DropBox or something using the iPad, please share.)

One final note: you can also import ScreenChomp MP4 files into a video editor like Camtasia! That might be handy if you want to string a bunch of Chomps together, make a highlight reel of memorable Chomp moments, or add callouts, music, and other gewgaw.

You don't need to convert it to mp4. It is already in that format. Click download from your computer and you should be all set!

Sorry for the confusion, Stephanie. There is no account. If you go to the video (via the URL) on your computer, currently the only way is to email yourself, you get the option to download. And you're also correct in saying that you cannot download the video to your iPad.

Worth noting: depending on your browser, you may need to right-click or ctrl-click the Download link and choose "Save link as..." or "Save target as..."

I know I can save a link and send that to students, but can I download the file as a video file? I read an article which said so: http://www.labnol.org/internet/khan-a... but I couldn't see how to do this when I created my screencast.com account. Thanks for any info!
