Can SnagIt capture the address bar when scrolling

When capturing a long web page that requires scrolling, I would also like to capture the address bar (in Firefox in full screen option with just the address bar displayed in the top). Is there a way to do this when capturing during scrolling?

Hi Michael,

Thanks for the great question. With the way that the scrolling capture works in Snagit, we have to focus in on just the content area to make sure we are grabbing all of the page, as a result, we need to leave out certain parts of the window, including the title/search/address bar.

One idea I have for you would be to capture the webpage, and create an additional capture with the top portion of Firefox. Once you have both captures in the Editor, you can drag and drop the top portion onto the other capture and position it near the top.

Here is a quick example: http://screencast.com/t/VYiFCKkAS3. Apologies that the example was shown with the Mac version of Snagit, but the concept is identical with the Windows version:

1) Capture the web page
2) Capture the title/search/address bar area
3) Open the web page capture in the Snagit Editor
4) Adjust the top of the capture to have space for the top bar
5) Drag from the tray area the title/address/search bar capture onto the webpage.
6) Position the title bar capture near the top

I definitely understand that this is not ideal if you are doing these types of captures all the time. But I wanted to share this workaround with you.

Thanks for the great question/idea.

Hi Jason,
I have the same question as Michael.
Can you tell me if this feature will be implemented in the short or long term future?
Thanks in advance,
Willemijn.
