I would like to track an object in a video with a blur. I would like to blur a face in one moving video and other objects in some other videos.

Hi Larry

The post you replied to is 3 years old. A lot can change with software in that time.

Camtasia offers a "Blur" callout. However, the callout is presently rectangular. So if you have a face, you will need to superimpose the callout and just know it will end up as a rectangle and not an oval. Then you could carefully use the Visual Properties to adjust movement to keep the blurred part over the right spot.

I suppose another possibility would be to screen capture the face and drop it into something like Photoshop or GIMP and blur it there. Then add it as a layer and also use the visual properties to ensure it "follows" the face in the video.

I think any way you slice it, you are looking at a fair amount of work.

Cheers... Rick :)
