Can you duplicate an action (or transition) after you have customized the properties? I have a particular action I want to use 10 times in different spots on my timeline.

Can I copy and paste an action -- or transition -- with all its properties intact so I can put it on a new clip or in a different place on my timeline? Right now I have been re inputting all the property information each time.

Not at this time. Camtasia for Mac does not have this functionality similar to what you can do in Camtasia Studio on Windows.

I'm going to change this to a feature request though and let's see if we can get it some action!

Can we at least change the default - for example, change the colorize default color so we don't have all those steps?

Maybe that's possible now, but I've spent hours researching, watching videos, etc., and can't find out how to change the defaults in Filters > Colorize.

Thanks,
Deb

If I'm using a similar action several times on a video or graphic, why can't I copy and paste the action and reuse it instead of having to re-create the action each time?

I know that depending on the size of the media or length or type there could be issues, but for the most part, the actions I want to copy and paste are used on the same piece of content so in theory it would work great.

Can someone tell if they've made any progress?

I'm using Camtasia for Mac 2 and I'm missing this functionality badly.

Or is there a work around? I made some call-outs in Photoshop that I want to slide in and out, all at the same speed. But now I can't even see how long a 'slide in' is taking, unless i zoom in to 100% and count the frames. Why can't I adjust it by entering a number?

I agree - this ability would be great. I would love to be able to just copy the property details (zoom percentage, x-y position) and then paste it into a similar clip later on so that I can automatically have the new footage look the same to then move out of it. Looking forward to having this feature added!

Today, TechSmith released Camtasia for Mac, version 2.4.0, which includes the ability to copy and paste animations. Animations can be copied from one media to another, and between projects. You can also copy and paste a media's properties.
