Simply, Snagit cannot capture it's own preferences window. If you try you get the error sound
I suppose one way you might try to work past it would be to record a video from SnagIt and open preferences. Then you could export a frame of the video?

Folks, open the program preference and when the choices are open, use "ALT-P" to capture the active window. Make sure that the program preference box is the active window. "ALT-P" will copy the active window and then you can paste it in any program even SnagIt editor or Like Rick said use the "snipping tool" in windows 10 and save the image or just view it.. Remember I refuse to update to any version above v11.4.1. Those were the good old days.
