Cannot Enable Scrolling feature

As suggested when attempting a capture, I push "S" to enable the scrolling feature. It then asks me to open System Prefs to allow Snagit Helper 2020 to control my Mac. I enabled it but the window keeps returning to allow Snagit to control my Mac. I cannot get past it. Any suggestions?

You are in good company as many users here have had difficulty in getting SnagIt’s all-in-one capture feature to work. To fix, simply adjust macOS’s permissions. Specifically,

In addition to the System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Privacy > Screen Recording reference from an earlier article, be sure to enable SnagIt 2020, in:

o System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Privacy > Camera
o System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Privacy > Microphone
o System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Privacy > Full Disk Access and
o SnagItHelper2020 found in System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Privacy > Accessibility

as well.

Thank you.  It was the Full Disk Access that needed attention.  Thanks for the quick response.

Hi,

In the future if you're having issues related to macOS permissions, you can open up our permissions window which helps you fix each one.

it can be found here in Snagit's preferences:

Nope...I followed all the instructions and I only get Page 1. Maybe this is a Cataline issue but I did buy 2020 which I thought was released to fix any problems with Cataline. Hells Bells...any day ANY of this crap works is a miracle! I can live without the scrolling feature. At least there's NIMBUS. That works well and it's FREE!

Hi John,

What version of Snagit are you using, and what app are you trying to do a scrolling capture of?

This is not working for me as SnagIt 2020 is not showing up at all under the Screen Recording privacy permissions:

And even though I do have SnagIt 2020 showing under Accessibility it is not showing as enabled in the Snagit Panel. (after multiple power cycles and installs):

So I am still without screen capture software...
macOS: 10.15.2

Hi,

So sorry about this. Try taking a capture with snagit, when it alerts you that you don't have permission, press OK and take a capture of your desktop. This should add Snagit to the screen recording permissions list, although it will be unchecked so you will have to check it.
