Cannot open 2 versions of Camtasia at the same time

We used to be able to open 2 different version of Camtasia Studio at the same time, such as a 2018 project and a 2019 project. I received a 2019 project file for reference and when I now open 2020 the 2019 project closes, it is as if now only one instance of any version of Camtasia Studio can be open at any one time? We have been calling for allowing multiple version to be open for years but now it seems that even two different version cannot be opened at the same time?

I just opened projects in 8, 9, 2018, 19  & 20 .
Here they are in Alt Tab mode.

So, not sure what to tell you here?

Darren, are you trying to work in the same project in two different versions of Camtasia?  If you open a Camtasia 2019 project in Camtasia 2020, Camtasia 2020 may make updates to the project that would prevent it from being opened in Camtasia 2019.  If you need to work with the same project in two versions I would recommend opening the project in the older version first and saving off a new copy before opening it in the later version of Camtasia.

Hi, No, two different projects where one is a reference. What I now found that works if I open the 2019 first, then open Camtasia 2020 it opens and then opne the 2020 project, they will both be open, but if I open Camtasia 2020 first, then open Camtasia 2019, Camtasia 2020 closes. Odd.
