Cannot Return Cursor/Pointer to its Default State

The standard with every other software I am familiar with calls for the ability to "de-select" a tool and return the pointer/cursor to its original state. What advantages do you gain by not developing (or disabling) this feature in SnagIt? It is annoying as you can't always remember (forget the 'enabled' icon) the last tool used. This causes you to inadvertently alter your image. I hope you consider making this feature available.

If you hit the "Alt" key,

Your cursor will change from being a selected tool. To becoming a cursor again.

Thank you, Joe.  Already tried it.  Did not work.  It appears this has been a long-standing issue with Snagit.

It does with SnagIt 13. What version of SnagIt are you using?

Thanks, Joe.  This is very helpful.  We're still on 11 (work-provided).  I'll see if our Helpdesk can get the upgrade.
