Cannot figure out how to place Camtasia V8 captions below video, like I did in V7.

This conversation has been merged. Please reference the main conversation: Captions under video in Camtasia Studio 8

In Camtasia V7.1, in the Canvas my captions appeared below the video, like my first screen shot below. In V8, I cannot figure out how to duplicate this arrangement. Currently, they only appear on top of the video, like my second screen shot below. Can someone tell me how to get my captions below the video?

I Just opened V7 and discovered the Captions tab has changed from V7 to V8. In the Captions tab for V7 there is the "Under Video" choice. Where is this option in V8? This is what I need.

In CS8, you have to set up editing dimensions for video and canvas size to provide for a black space below where the video sits; that's where the captions can be made to show below when produced; I believe there is a post somewhere on this forum from a TechSmith employee explaining this in detail [with a screencast, I think].

Maybe someone can remember where that post is, or the TechSmith employee can respond again here.

Curious, but what video format do you produce to?

Hi kayakman,

Since I posted the question, I myself was concluding what you said, I've begun to reformat my video elements, making the black space below. It's quite an adjustment (in process) from V7 method.

Thanks for the reply! I guess this question is solved, though it hasn't been a fun day adjusting my production process to accomodate this unforeseen changes in versions.

Regarding video format I'll produce to, this is my first project in CS8, but as I did in V7, I'll be using this format below (if this is what you mean).
