Cannot install SnagIt

I have just purchased SnagIt after a trial period of 30 days. However, having paid and downloaded the installation program, I am not allowed to install because of the following error: Error 1316.
Please advice what is wrong and how I can install the product I have purchased.

Hi Charlotte,
I'm sorry you are having trouble.

You say you already had Snagit installed for your trial? And then you purchased, right? Did you receive your key in an email from TechSmith?

That email contains the key you need to unlock your existing version of Snagit.
Just copy the entire key from the email, open Snagit, choose the Help menu > Enter key option, and paste the key into the field provided.

You should not have to download any other software. However, in that same menu option, you can click the Check for Upgrades option that will automatically check to ensure you are using the latest version.

No I never received a key? I have only received an order number: 17278680324 and an address from where I can download http://shop.techsmith.com/store/techs...

I'm getting a message that states something like User terminated installation. SNAGit appears to download (using Firefox browser). I click the exe file, click Run and agree to terms, the get SET UP ERROR, Error Code (1602) User cancelled installation.  No - I didn't - so why am I unable to install? Help please!

This problem says it was solved. If so where is the solution published?

I have just spent most of Friday & part of Saturday am attempting to install snagit12. I not that my windows updates for .net framework version for in win7 are consuming most of the time.

However Snagit did actually install once, but never asked for the key & no surprises when I rebooted nothing was found. Again, I did not manually stop the installation. Any ideas? Thanks in advance John

John this is an issue I would suggest contacting TechSmith Support on as they can get your account and purchase figured out for you as the users that are here cannot really solve those kind of problems. I have provided the information below for you to contact them below:

Oh seems like I have solved it. The real issue was NOT snagit. There was a lack of windows updates on my PC so once I had those all sorted out. (48 hours later) Snagit is now rocketing along. Cheers JK
