Can't adjust audio volume in Camtasia 9

In the past, I've been able to go to Audio effects and found an option to set the volume of my video to medium-high. I can't seem to find that now. Nor do I seem able to set audio points and pull the audio "wave" to those. Nor can I change the level if I select a piece of the video. Having spent time looking at videos on YouTube and reading forum posts, I still can't figure out how to do what I have done many times. What am I missing? I feel stupid asking this when I have been able to do it in the past. The "wave" for the audio is very small and I need to change it. I tired to set audio points on the wave but that didn't work.

By the way, I fixed my earlier problem by rebooting Windows. Software should not behave that way but oh well...

In order to work with the audio you need to select this Icon in Properties.

Then things like this are enabled.

Is that what you were referring to?
