I use to be able to mouse over an object and Snagit would put dotted lines around the object automatically and I could click it and it would capture that object, that doesn't work in Version 12.4.1 Is there a reason you would remove that feature? It was great, and fast..

As long as you are using a profile that is set to "All-in-One"  the feature should be working for you.I'm running 12.4.1 and I tested it on several windows in Documents,  Pictures, Media Players without a problem.

Thanks Joe, but you're capturing a window not an object in the window, see the attached

Ahh, I see. What is that? A program? I see it's Storm Tracker with your name on it and it doesn't look like any typical radar site to me.It looks like it has a lot of easily searchable weather info.It looks like something I would enjoy playing around with.

I like the program James,

I don't know why SnagIt 12 won't capture those windows.
Here's what you could do to regain that capability. I also use SnagIt 11 on a Windows 10 computer. I can capture those objects without a problem. You could download and install SnagIt 11 and activate it with your SnagIt 12 key.

Then use SnagIt 11 to make your Grlevel3 captures. You could actually use SnagIt 11 to do all of your captures if you wanted to and still edit them in SnagIt 12. The programs share the same data store by default. Anything you capture with either program is placed in the library of both programs.
The only catch is that you need to close one program before you can open the other. SnagIt won't  let you have both open at the same time.

Thanks for the link to the program.

Thanks Joe, I may have to do that, I'm surprised TechSmith hasn't said something about the problem..
Thanks again
