Can't get resizing handles in Mac Snagit

macOS 10.12.2, SnagIt 4.1.0.  For awhile, I could select an area for snagging and then get handles with which I could resize that area before actually taking the snap.  For some reason, they've disappeared, and I can't figure out how to get them back.  The snaps are still working; it's just that they go directly to the editor app before I have a chance to resize them.  How do I get back to being able to make those selections?  Thanks!

I've been noticing that as well. Previously you drag a box to select a section make a screenshot you could once you created the original selection box you could release and drag horizontally or vertically  by corner.  the you could when finished would take screen shot. Now once you release now it takes the shot.

Hi,

What you are seeing is our image capture workflow. Once you select a region, the capture is taken. What you saw previously is still available as our All-In-One capture. That will allow you to adjust your selection before taking the capture.

When I start capture-image-panoramic and press 'start' I can select a region with the crosshair cursor, but I see no handles to move around. I can use the mouse to move around the webpage a little bit, but the result is what you see in the picture.

I use Snagit for Mac 4.1.6

Hi Harry,

Once you start a panoramic capture, there should not be handles to resize or move the region. Once you have a region selected, you'll just want to manually scroll the website slowly to get your capture. You also want to make sure that your region is only around the content that you'll scroll and doesn't have any fixed elements like the address bar, or other applications.

Here's a video that explains this in more detail https://www.techsmith.com/tutorial-snagit-panoramic-capture.html.
