Hi,
I'm sorry you are having trouble.

Have you completely shut down your computer then restarted it after the Windows update BEFORE you tried to run Camtasia? If not, please try this and see if it works.

I haven't heard there are others having this issue, so maybe for now we can see if reinstalling Camtasia after you restart will work for you. Perhaps a file was overwritten or deleted during the update.

So, please try running the installation for Camtasia again. When you are asked if you want to keep your Library content, say YES or OK.

Then, see if Camtasia will run correctly.

Best option.
Uninstall, and Reinstall Camtasia again.
That is the best option you have.

There seems to be a LOT of issues with the latest Win10 Update.
And it is not good.
My Explorer has closed without warning several times since the new update.

Just reinstall.

@Kelly.
Restart happens during the update of Windows.
It actually restarts 2 times.

The Windows update didn't effect Camtasia for me.
However, I did need to reinstall my Nvidia graphics card software in order to regain access to all my monitors. The Nvidia control panel had no menu selections right after the update and was useless as a result.
After a 10 min download and reinstall I was back in business.

The Windows update messed my system up pretty bad.
However, it was already having issues prior to the update.
I was Hoping that the Update would fix the issues.
However, it made them worse.

Re-installed Win10 Pro, and before getting on the desktop it ask to do the update.
I did it.
Fresh install, and Explorer gets stuck every once in a while and force closes itself.
Now, I was thinking it was a file that was causing the issue.
But, it was a folder with some videos that I created with Camtasia.
When I opened the explorer folder back up, no issues.
So, this is a kernel issue, and it is a Microsoft bug in the new update.

A lot of people online are complaining about, so I am expecting a new patch to be released real soon.
Possibly within the next 30 days, to fix these bugs.

Interesting, I haven't run into any real issues yet. However, I just updated about 10 hours ago.I've been on the machine most about 8 hours.
I'm running the home version so maybe that makes a difference?

I just updated 9, and now it won't even start on Windows 10.   And worse, V 8 can't open a 9 file.  I'm totally hosed.  It makes me so angry when this was once a great product.
