Can't "Save As" in Preview Window

Both Camtasia 8 and Camtasia 9 have the option for this preview window. In Camtasia 8 this allowed me to save the .trec file with the name of my choosing and to the folder of my choosing.

However, after enabling the window in Camtasia 9 and clicking "Save As" the window literally just closes, and the file is placed in the default folder with a name like "Rec 11-07-16 5." When I click "Save and Edit" it simply opens Camtasia 9 for editing (which is almost identical to "Produce").

Am I missing something, or is there a reason I can't change the file name when saving? Having a folder with a list of files with the same name is pretty inconvenient (Rec 11-07-16 2, Rec 11-07-16 3, Rec 11-07-16 4, etc.) when video editing.

Thanks in advance for any insight!

you may need to open Recorder's Tools/Options "File Options"  and set it to ask for a file name

Thank you Sir.

Took me forever, and I never found the solution. Partly, I think,  because of the strange "Save As"-behaviour described by ftlepore, when "Ask for file name" is not activated.
