Can't use MOV files and MP4's have no transparency

Tried to load up an old file in Camtasia 9 to re-edit and found that none of the MOV files I used will work.  I can see that TechSmith recommend converting to MP4 using Handbrake, which I've done, but that looses transparency which I need.  Is there any way to have transparency on an MP4?

Lon Naylor has a good training video on how to do this with Quick Time. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1pCfH4TVFlo

Thanks for these - but as I understand it, Camtasia wont load MOV files because Apple have ended support and they are worried about security - is that not the situation?

Camtasia 9 can use .mov files if they are encoded with the png codec.

The link kevinohlson posted was just posted by Lon on how to make re-encode .mov files to the png codec.

Here's that link again

As for Apple Quicktime codecs, they are safe. It's the Quicktime Player you should not install on Windows because of security risks.

In Camtasia 8 you can use the older .mov files but you need the Quicktime codecs on your machine.

Here's a Youtube vid on how to install the codecs only !!   which is safe to do.
