Cant Load New Snagit!

Purchased SnagIt v11 on May 15, 2013, but it still won't complete the load from CD to my HP Windows 7 laptop, though it meets system reqmts. I get as far as what seems to be end of load - then stops and says "Internal Error 2753. SnagItPl.exe". I've got Bitdefender security software all shut off. anyone know what the issue is?

I found this by searching through their Knowledge Base:

Snagit: Error: Internal Error 2752/2753 when installing Snagit

This usually occurs when trying to install a version of the software that was not the latest release. Examples:

If you are installing Camtasia Studio 4.0.0 instead of 4.0.2, Snagit 8.1.0 instead of 8.2.3 or 9.1.0 instead of 9.1.3.

These are the most common scenarios. You can access our older versions here, and then download the latest release for your purchased version.
