Help! I am trying to upload from Jing to my Screencast account. I am logged into screencast, but when I try to upload from Jing, I get an error message that Jing is unable to connect to Screencast.com. Verify you are connected to the internet and try again.

However, I am connected to the Internet and logged in to screencast!

Hi Catherine,

Sorry for this trouble, are you running Jing on Windows or a Mac?

Thanks,

Jason

Hi Catherine,

We aren't currently aware of any known bugs similar to what you are experiencing. We recently a new version of Jing on the mac today, if you're willing, would you update to the latest version and see if the same problem exists?

To update do one of these two things:

1) Exit Jing and restart the application

or

2) Open the Jing "More ball" and choose the "?" button and choose the "Check for Update" button.

Let me know if you're still experiencing the problem after the update, and we'll make sure we figure out what's going on.

We're sorry for this inconvenience, but thank you for your patience as we work through this problem.

Hi Catherine,

At this point, if you are connected to the internet, you are able to successfully login directly to www.screencast.com and the screencast.com username and password are correct inside the Jing More ball and the problem persists, we'll want to get you in touch with one of our technical support specialists.

We are unaware of any known connectivity issues with screencast.com or Jing, so they will be able to give you more direct assistance to get you up and running in the shortest amount of time.

Here is the link to our support site: http://techsmith.custhelp.com/app/ask or if you'd prefer to chat on the phone, that is an option as well.

Sorry about the frustration with this bug, we greatly appreciate your patience, feel free to contact us.

Thanks,

Jason

Hey Judy,
We did have a few issues last night that could have lead to this. Are you seeing any improvement now, or are the same issues persisting?

We experience this issue to. Installed latest version of Jing on a Windows 7 64bit computer, signed in with account details but details not correct. Same details login to Screencast website without issue.

Would you recommend a reinstall completely? If so, are there any left over registry keys/temp folders that may need to be deleted also?

Many thanks

(at work I have windows 7)
On my laptop at home, I have windows 8. I'm not sure if that is a problem or not but on my windows 8 computer that I use from home, I'm having that exact same issue....
