Canvas background- I am unable to change the canvas background from black to white in Camtasia 9. Not sure what I am doing wrong. I went to Project Settings, color, clicked on white, but it still comes out with a big black bar on top/bottom of my mp4. Please help- need it asap.

Hello Karen;

Are you using imported media content or are you using a Camtasia Recorder file? What resolution is the content that you have imported into Camtasia? Are you viewing the produced MP4 at 100% scale in your media player?

that suggests that the embedded video on your scorm/saba hosting is being displayed taller than dimensions of the produced video being shown?

Hi Karen;

If your hosting platform is not presenting the video at 720p (1280x720) then you can see bars on top/bottom or left/right. If you play the MP4 file in Windows Media Player (in Windows simply double-click on the MP4 file that is created by Camtasia), do you have the black bars surrounding it?

Additionally, in the Studio, is your view set to 100% at the top of the preview window? If it is, can you please, as a test, set it to 50% and verify that there are no black bars in the canvas?

The view is at 44%, however, it is a custom screen view, (1684x672) not the entire screen was captured.  Which is why I am trying to change the black bars  to white.  Yes, I do have the black "gradient" bars in Windows Media Player

Hi Karen;

It may be easiest to open a support ticket (you can place "Attention Robert" in it so it can be assigned to me) so we can look into this directly. Can you please open a ticket?
