Canvas is not showing up in camtasia. And can't find any options to get it "back". Only way to see the canvas, is to detatch it - witch works fine when i'm on 2 monitors, but not when i'm just working on my laptop ;-)
I'm sure that i did something wrong.
I tryed to restart Camtasia, i tryed to start a new project. No canvas what so ever..

Anyone that have a quickfix for this.. a bit urgent for me to figure this out ;-)

This has happened to others as well.

I suggested restarting the computer in another thread and it did not solve the problem.

You could try reinstalling Camtasia and see if that resolves the problem for now.If it does it would great if you let us know it worked. That way others will know what to do if it happens to them.

I would also contact tech support and see what they have to say.

I tried to create a new project, close and restart Camtasia, restart the comp, and non of that did the trick.. so now i will try the re-install. But actually i had the same problem a few days ago, and somehow i got it back, but don't have a clue on how i did that ;-)

And here you see a little video showing the problem..

Yeah, that's exactly the problem others have reported. It appears to be a bug. TechSmith is probably the only soultion. It's never happened to me, I just hope it stays that way.

okay..

So, tried to do a "repair", did'n do anything. So uninstall and install, that did  the trick..

But, i would hade to do this "on a daily basis" - so i do hope, that the Camtasia folkes find a nice solution for this issue ;-)

Hi all

I realize this has already been resolved by Peter. But for others that may encounter it down the road, here is a way I've found to restore things without having to perform a reinstall.

I've never had this happen to me; however, I have saved your video for the "just in case factor."  Thanks!

I'm curious if you are able to easily adjust the timeline to be taller or shorter. Mine doesn't want to move except occasionally. And then only in a small increment.

Yeah, no problem moving mine either Rick.
Maybe a reinstall is the best move for you as well.
That  registry hack could working against you.Did TechSmith support suggest that  hack or was it just an experiment on your part?

I haven't read any threads myself that describe the timeline glitch you've just described.
I've seen 3 about the canvas area completely missing and the inability to open the properties panel and the Media panel at the same time.

Now when I make Camtasia smaller then the full screen I cannot adjust the height of the  timeline any more?? Adjusting the height of the timeline can only be done when the Camtasia is full screen??
