canvas quality

I am editing HD video 1920x 1080 and it is not previewing well... like... in interrupted form... like there are lost frames... so is there any way to decrease the quality in the canvas
knowing that my laptop has good qualities like cor i7

No, unfortunately the canvas resolution cannot be reduced for smoother playback.

Whit is the frame rate of your video? If it's higher than 30 fps the Camtasia editor will discard frames because the timeline only supports 30fps.That will affect playback a lot in some cases.

A good graphics card can make all the difference.Playback is channeled through the graphics card and some laptops are notorious for having weak graphics capabilities.

There are other issues as well,to many to cover easily. You could run this by tech support and see what they have to say about it.They may have a viable soultion for you.
