Captions Disappeared from Camtasia 9 Project

I am on Windows 10 using Camtasia 9. I have added captions to projects several times and sued them in the final video.  I have been working on a project for quite a while and.added most of the captions for the entire four minute-video. I opened the project today after several days and the captions are gone. There's no evidence that they were ever there. If I click "Add caption," I see a blank caption where there used to be a caption. Yes, of course I saved them.  Where did they go? Do I really have to start from scratch???? Thanks.

Hi Ken,

The captions are stored in the .tscproj (TechSmith Camtasia Project) when you save the project.  As long as you saved your project before closing, your captions should be in there.  The .tscproj is just a JSON formatted text file, so you could try opening the file in a text editor to see if your captions are in there or not.

Thanks for the information. I am re-recording them. It seems like each cpation verbally isa little off. I spoke in whole sentences but the caption speech keeps giveing me part of a a sentence at the start or end of a sentence. Is thee a way to shorten a lenghthen a caption so that I get the full sentence into it nstead of leaving one word for he next caption? This did not seem quite as bad the first time. Thanks.

Never mind. I just saw that there is a control to change the duration of a catpion. Cool!
