Something changed. Now when I capture a region, the capture grid is yellow. It's hard to see and I'd like to be able to change that color to something legible.

What version of SnagIt?

Are you able to capture a screen to demonstrate?

2019.01.  I can capture the screen, but the yellow is only at capture. Once I'm done capturing, I don't see the yellow any more. It's hard to see what I'm capturing, so I'd like to be able to have something other than yellow.

Hmmm, if this just started out of the blue with no updates or whatever, perhaps check the cable connection between your monitor and the CPU? I mean, assuming you are on a desktop. No way to do that on a laptop LOL unless perhaps you are using a second monitor with the laptop.

Also perhaps check for updates to SnagIt?

I'm assuming other things are behaving normally as far as color presentation goes?

No other issues with color. I use a laptop with a docking station, so the connections are secure.  The program is behaving normally.  Thanks for your input.

Likely your best bet is to click Help > Technical Support from the SnagIt editor and get a support ticket going.

Marianne,

Does this help?

I used this image for a different post earlier today. It shows the yellow border at capture. I had to take the pic with my phone... :)

Yes.  This is the same as what mine looks like.  I guess this is normal then.

What Capture grid are you referring to?

As far back as I can remember, capture crosshairs and windows have always been yellow.

Thanks. I guess I never really paid attention to it.  If they were always yellow then I just never noticed. Thanks much for your assistance.

Ahhh, see I thought you were saying that the entire area inside was yellow. Like this:

Well, I'm not saying that. This was really more for Rick's request above for a pic.

I have it in my mind that the grid and cross hairs were a darker colour in earlier versions; years ago for me. I started using Snagit again almost 2 years ago, and the yellow grid caught my attention because I didn't remember it being such a challenge to see on the screen.

So, I agree with you Marianne that the yellow can be hard to see. I also believe it's even harder still in that little zoom window that pops up. :)

Actually, I stand corrected.
SnagIt 6 through 9 or so had a red border.

It was 10 or 11 that turned yellow.
