Capture vertical scroll area

I now have SnagIt 13.0.2 and I am no longer able to accurately capture web pages. When I use the "Capture Vertical Scrolling Area" feature, it hides parts of the page, and sometime adds more! This is frustrating because I rely on screenshots to communicate instructions effectively to my users. Please fix this bug!

I would try doing a update.

The last version of 13 was 13.1.5

You can download it here and than run it and see if that fixes it.  It should.

Then use the Panoramic preset. It works much better

I just recently discovered,
If your mouse wheel has Tilt Left and Tilt Right functionality. You can do accurate left and right Panoramic Captures without the up and down deviations you get with dragging manually.

It's saves you the step of cropping to get a neat capture in post.

I found the fix! I was having this same issue of scrolling screenshots getting disjointed and messed up, usually on long pages (In my Google Chrome web browser on Mac).

I was able to fix the issue by entering fullscreen mode first (in Chrome, go to View > Enter Fullscreen), then capturing the screenshot with Snagit.

Simple, but totally fixed the issue. Try it out.

By the way, updating the software never fixed the issue. This issue was also replicated in two different versions of Snagit (v4 and v2018 both on Mac, both updated to the latest version).

Entering Full Screen before capturing the scrolling region is the only way I've been able to fix the issue.
