We use shadows a lot in our documents, but they are all centered and very subtle - like the object was just pulled off the page a tiny bit. Offset shadows don't work for this.
Thank you.

Hi,
This is possible in Snagit and Camtasia. Look for this sudoku-looking control and click the center square.

Thank you, Luke. I'm sorry, I wasn't clear. I'm not seeing that option in Snagit 2018. The center option is not available.

Thanks for suggesting this improvement to Snagit. I agree with Luke and you that this should be supported. I'll add this as an item to consider for a future release.

This is exactly what I have been looking for! Finally checked the forums to see if anyone else has mentioned it.
What's the status here? When might centered shadow start working (again)?
It's curious that the screenshot posted by @Luke Griffioen above shows a blue checkmark right in the center, as if it already worked properly in some early version of Snagit. I'm on version 2018.1.1 just released this week.
Please note that the documentation actually claims you can do this already:

Add a shadow effect to a side or around the entire image. You can change the location, color, and size before you apply this effect.

For the Drop shadow Box I would have made the puzzle icon white filled boxes with red edges. But hey I am not a genius like the developer at TechSmith.

Just noticed the center selection can be clicked now in Snagit 2019.1.4 - and it makes a centered shadow!
