I want to produce tutorial videos with quiz in German and English. Unfortunately I can't change the evaluation for correct or false form German Richtig or Falsch only by reinstalling the software as  German or English version. In the program explorer I have both language option, by  I do not know how do switch this easily.

The chat contact told me there is no other way.

If your up to doing a little experimentation . .  Now that 240 GB SSDs are down in $30 USD area, you could install everything but Camtasia on your boot drive and use two external SSDs for Camtasia installation.

StarTech sells hot swap racks (see link below)  if . . . your system has Intel Rapid Storage technology installed (requires a specific chipset).  You could even mount two drives and access one for English and the second for German. You'd need 2 sata connections which most modern systems have.  Or only make one slot hot for the language you using now, then swap drives when you want to swap languages.

See:  https://www.amazon.com/StarTech-com-Drive-Trayless-Mobile-Backplane/dp/B001CYZC38/ref=sr_1_6?keyword...

On one of my older systems, I have 4 hot swap-able drive, UBUNTU, LIME, WIN 10, WIN VISTA; top drive mounted is the OS.

Hello,

You can modify an english production to use the German languages strings following these steps:

  1. Copy the english production with all the files to a new folder (assuming you want to keep the english production too)
  2. Open the [production name]_config.xml file in a text editor
  3. Locate the following block of XML and delete it.

  4. Now search for and replace all copies of "en-US" string with "de-DE".
  5. Save file.
  6. Open up [production name]_player.html in a text editor
  7. If the following line is in the file:
    TSC.localizationStrings.setLanguage(TSC.languageCodes.ENGLISH);

    change it to:

    TSC.localizationStrings.setLanguage(TSC.languageCodes.GERMAN);
  8. Save file.
Let me know if that worked for your needs,
Ben

Smart Player is currently localized into: English, German, Japanese, French, Spanish and Chinese.  The process is the same.

I would note that if you are using the TechSmith results service to get quiz data by email, then the quiz summary will be localized to the language used by the version of Camtasia that produced the video.  The quiz will still work correctly though.

Excellent,
I would think this could help a lot of users.
Seems worthy of creating a support article reference to me. }:>)
