Change the Callout interface to include dimensions by default

In Visual Studio (the world's best IDE for coding) when Images are inserted into projects the dimensions are there by default. What this would allow us to do in Camtasia's callout window is set the dimensions to repeatable sizes (saving lots of time). Widths, Heights and even Auto options would stop us from having to manually set the size on each new call out we add.

I agree that it would help a lot

you can do so now by selecting the object on timeline [or in canmvas], then setting the size percentage in visual properties

Does that only work on a per Callout basis? I want to when adding them always add the size shown in the window where the text is typed in.

try sizing a callout, then put that callout in Library; use that callout in any project using same editing dimensions, and the size will be set accordingly

Hi and thanks for submitting your idea/feature request!

As outlined in our New Community Processes post, feature requests are open to voting up through the first, where we will then tally the votes and present the findings to our product teams. To ensure we have the most accurate data, on the 1st of the month we will be locking the threads that were listed in the Feature Request Round-up that was posted on the 15th. Once we have reviewed the submitted feature requests, our product team(s) may respond to the request, and if that is the case then that thread will then be unlocked for further discussion.

In the event that your idea is not selected for a response feel free to resubmit the idea and share it with your colleagues to garner as much exposure as possible!

Thank you again for your idea and we look forward to hearing more from you!

Hi!

I wanted to thank you again for the feature request and to let you know that the Camtasia product team has seen your post. While I can say that this is not currently the focus of the development team, they did remark that this is a neat and interesting idea. Even if that does not mean that the idea will be implemented a future update, your idea brought a few ideas to bare and if anything, I would say to stay tuned for future updates, as we may come back and reach out with questions or mock-ups for a feature like the one you submitted.

Thank you again and keep on submitting and championing your ideas!

-Robert
