changing timing of slides

This is my first time using this program. I recorded a powerpoint with voice. Right now my presentation switches slides quickly because that's how I recorded it. I need to slow it down but how do I do that?

I recorded them in sections so one section has me discussing 3 slides, the next recording has me discussing 4 slides etc. I should have recorded a separate jpg for each slide, I guess that would have made more sense.

Hello,

I've had this happen and here's what I did. In your PowerPoint show, you may Save As - PNG file type for a graphic of each slide. It will ask you 'current slide' or 'entire presentation', answer and proceed. This will give you PNGs that you may stretch or shrink to fit the narrative. CAVEAT: If you used PPT transitions or animations these would be lost. Other options are to chop and/or extend frame your show to preserve the PPT effects. Good luck

Thank you so much, I never knew that and just tried it and it worked. Can I ask you if you recommend making separate recordings for each slide? Does that make more sense? Instead of me recording 10 minutes at a time?

My thought is just importing the 'slides' directly into your timeline and drag to desired length. Then possibly adding Camtasia transitions to them as you see fit.

okay, so record one long recording if needed and then stretch the slide out. Makes sense. I think I just had to talk this out so thank you so much, you don't know how much of a help you have been. :)

No recording necessary; just use Import Media and browse to the PNG slides and bring them into the time line and adjust.
