Clear visual indication of snag type

Using Snagit every day, both image and video capturing, it would be really nice with a more dominating indication whether it is Image or Video that has been selected. Perhaps a color change of the Snagit app.

Often I select an area for image capture, but the Video capture starts because it was lastly selected. Then I have to cancel and select the Image tab.

But everything is blueish, so I often start out with the wrong capture option. A  more clear selection would be nice.

The same goes for the time delay: a more clear indication that it has been set.

I used to have the same problem until I switched to One-Click.  That will allow you to set a default selection type (see 2) but then you have the drop-down selector to change to another type when needed.  You can flip the default to a preset if you are going to do a long sessions of a particular capture type

Paul, can you explain the 'One-Click' option in more detail please?  and how to switch to it.

1. In Snagit Capture select File > Capture Preferences

2. Select the Capture Window and One Click option

3. This small bar will appear at the edge of your screen.  On mouseover, a drop down will appear, as shown in my previous p[ost.  The bar can be repositioned anywhere on any edge of the screen.

Now, if you want to take your default screenshot type you press PrtScn.  If you want to use another type as a one-off, you mouseover the bar and select the type you want.  You have two choices:

1.  Switch between the All-in-one, Image and Video options in the top section and choose the settings you want.  If you di this, whatever selection you make will remain sticky

2, Define presets that you can choose from on demand.  if you do this the chosen item is NOT sticky.
