Click link to HTML output, and it forces a download

I'm sure there's something obvious I'm overlooking.

Using Camtasia 9, I've been producing some interactive training for a client. The output is a custom production HTML package, with smart player, to be accessed by client staff via a link on the client's website. When the user (who uses IE almost exclusively) clicks the link to the training, it downloads instead of opening in the browser. And then when the user clicks the downloaded file, it opens a new browser and just spins - waiting, never loads.

From a user experience perspective, I really don't want them to have to download the file. What am I doing wrong here?

No screenshots to share, unfortunately. All this is on the client's system, which I presently do not have access to. Hoping this is an obvious fix, something I'm overlooking.

Hi everyone,

A colleague of mine found what I'm pretty sure is the answer - the client's site is built on a SharePoint platform, and we're pretty sure that's where the issue stems. For those with a similar issue, I'll paste a link to the relevant support page below.

Note: I haven't been able to test this yet, so we shall see if it's truly the resolution.

Update: this worked. Crucial steps:
  1. Update the Course Name.html file to Course Name.aspx
  2. Update the Course Name_Player.html file Course Name_Player.aspx
  3. Edit the Course Name.aspx file via notepad or other text editor – update the Link to the player to be .aspx (see below)
  4. Save the change

<iframe class="tscplayer_inline" id="embeddedSmartPlayerInstance" src="Course Name_player.aspx?embedIFrameId=embeddedSmartPlayerInstance" scrolling="no" frameborder="0" webkitAllowFullScreen mozallowfullscreen allowFullScreen></iframe>
