Clip Image

I really like the way SnagIt clips an image on my PC.  Dragging the handles in to show less of the image.  Any chance of getting that in the Chromebook?

I know the SnagIt for Chrome team is constantly working to ramp their product up to the state of our long-existing SnagIt PC and SnagIt Mac editions.  I am not sure what the current roadmap goals entail but I am assigning this to the contact point for the SnagIt Chrome team who may be able to provide feedback or add it as a request.

Hi Karl, do you mean that when you drag a region to capture in Snagit for Window, you get a box (with a shadow background over the rest of the screen), where you get to drag the size out that you want to capture? If so, we added that into Snagit for Chrome about two months ago, and it should be pretty close to what you're used to in Snagit for Windows.

If I misunderstood your request, please let me know!

Sorry, Kelly, but I meant after the image is captured, editing the clip boundaries by dragging image handles in from the edge.  I use this in the Windows version all the time. Also note that many of my captures require a full view capture due to a problem pop-out menu that seems to block SnagIt. (I also have to change the extension's settings, but this is found in a different thread.) I would then like to remove parts of the image and the drag cropping method works well.

Does this make sense?

Makes total sense Karl! I think the use-case you described (pages where we can't capture a region, but you want to crop it) is perfect. I can't guarantee when we'll get to it, but I'll certainly add it to our list for consideration!

I appreciate that. No rush, I just happened to be on the site and decided to finally post the request. So it is not that pressing. I am just happy to have a decent capture tool!
