Close all gaps to the left

I have many small images i'm importing to my timeline and I want to close the gaps at one time. From reading posts on here a lot of people recommend holding shift and dragging the media to the left and all the other media to the right will follow. This is no good because I have many small pieces of media and requires dragging each one individually. Is there a way to bunch them up to the left of the timeline in a short workaround?

looks like all the media have the same duration?

if so, put them on timeline again; set the desired duration in edit/preferences/timings menu; multi select in media bin and add all to timeline at same time; they will go on with no gaps; this works if their names are sequential

for future reference, here is another way ...

when already on  timeline, and are evenly spaced, and are all the same duration, select them all, drag one's right edge until it fills space between images [use any one but one farthest to right; they are now all connected

with all selected, apply clip speed factor, set to something like 3 to make then smaller again, they will shrink with no gaps

This way actually works better. I'm importing rendered images for a short animation. If I import 48 images, I can set the (edit/pref) timer at 1sec per image and do the above method by applying clipspeedx24 to get the perfect frame rate.

Thanks again
