Closed-captioning for Mac version of Camtasia

I had Camtasia on my PC, and the closed captioning was wonderful. Then I upgraded to Mac. It's not there. I talked to support, and they confirmed it's not available on Mac. I am legally required to provide my students with closed captioning on every video I make (I teach computer science in college). This is an extreme legal liability for both my school and for me. While I don't have any deaf or hearing-impaired students that I know of, I have a number of student who have ADD who rely on CC to keep them focused. I won't be renewing my Camtasia license again until you add this feature for Mac. I can't believe your company is so callous about something so important!

I think there was some mis-communication there. Captioning is absolutely a key feature on the mac versions (and has been for quite some time). You can find it here:

(you drag that onto the video that you want to caption)

@suzy, sorry for the confusion.  Was the issue that Captions was hidden under Audio Effects and you couldn't find it?   Or was Camtasia on mac missing a functionality that you needed?

Can you use Open Captions? I’ve been using them on Camtasia Mac for years.
