Snagit Editor: Image, Effects, Color Adjustment.
.

Please provide a quick way to reset the 5 parameters to their default values rather than just remembering the settings from my previous image adjustment.  I am referring of course to Brightness, Contrast, Hue, Saturation, and Gamma.  FYI I have no need to retain the previous image's adjustment because each new image has its own problems. Better to reset Color Adjustment to default every time.

I agree, I never used that feature. But if I did I wouldn't want it to always be set to previous settings. The odds of them being correct are probably zero in most cases.

If it makes you feel any better. In Camtasia, if you apply a color adjustment.

It Blows Everything Up. "The Default Settings that is" It's Ridiculous!

The Full Screen Waterfall in the image below has Color correction applied to it. NO user adjustments have been applied. That's what it looks like when you first apply the filter,Blown out,White,Color completely removed.

I placed a copy of the video without the color filter in the lower right hand corner so you can see what the footage looks like before color correction is applied.

So anyway,  I voted for a reset button for your color adjustment and I hope you get it.

Until then, remember that image above. How anyone could make the decision to create a filter so user unfriendly.I just don't have the words right now.

How are you supposed to make Color Adjustments to a video that looks like that???

I'll tell you how, you reset the Saturation to "0" so there's color.
You  turn down the Brightness from 64 to "0"
You turn down the contrast from 298 to "0"

Then you make your adjustments.Just like every color adjustment filter I've ever used in the past.

have to wonder what the designers were thinking...  if you make adjustments on one picture - you would not necessarily want the same on the next and the next and so on...  then again, maybe someone would - so perhaps adding a little checkbox for "return to default" would make both side happy...   today, the current situation has me in a box - and not a good one...  i may need to buy another product instead

I've been complaining about this for two years.  It took several login attempts to vote for this issue, which reminds of me the arrogance I've seen from Techsmith.  I wonder how many others out there are getting the bait and switch as well.
