Combine multiple .camproj files into one mega-project

I work with screen captures from university lectures, which can get rather lengthy, especially when they record multiple .camrecs. Instead of stringing them together and editing a huge file (which slows down computer performance), a way to edit and save them as separate .camproj files, and then append them to one another for production WITHOUT copying/linking to the Library would be ideal..Like being able to have a .camproj act as a media clip to drop on the timeline.

Even batch-production would be useful.

It's the opening each .camproj file, highlighting the whole thing, copying/linking to library, and then adding to timeline that is more time consuming than it seems, especially when each final project will have about 30 files appended.

Haven't done it in a while, but I seem to remember that you can batch produce from multiple camprojs?

Hi,
Yes, there is a batch production option that can be used with your project files.

You can find it here:
Camtasia Studio > Tools menu item > Sharing > Batch Production > Batch Production wizard

You may use Batch Production with .camrec, .avi, .camproj, .mpg, .mpeg, .wmv, .mov, .mpeg-4, or .flv files.

For more information, you can search the Camtasia Studio help file for "Batch Production".

Hope this helps!

The batch production produces one file per project. What I am looking for is something that puts the camproj files together and into a single presentation as opposed to keeping them separate.

Thank you though!

I agree, that's something more like a "batch append" than a batch production. Unfortunately I don't believe Camtasia Studio supports such behavior at this time. I'm sorry that it's a pain for you to manually string them all together, but thanks for bringing your example of when such a feature would be useful to our attention.

The camrecs can be unzipped to avi (if you are not using webcams) and strung together in a batch video compression software like CleanerXL. If your need is frequent you could justify the investment cost. Sorry for the partial solution... just thinking aloud.

Camtasia Mac lacks any sort of batch processing of any kind.
Please add this feature. Thank you.

i also get a lot of video segments that people start and then hand off.  I cannot wait till i get everything before starting to edit.  today i produce some to avi and them add them into a master camproj to string them all together but this is problematic and ends creating other issue.  I would like to be abel to append/add multiple camproj together.  Even if i could have 2 camproj open at the same time so i can cut paste from one camproj to another would be great.

These were all a year or 4 years ago. Now, in Camtasia 8, is there a way to do this? I would love to batch produce .camproj into one file. Thanks!

you still need to first combine different projects by using the Library ...

search the TOC for "library" and then watch the relevant tutorials
