I'm currently using snag it and Camtasia, I am also trying to use Dragon naturally speaking. Dragon works through the keyboard, so it would be very nice if Camtasia and snag it were both completely accessible using keyboard shortcuts. Snag it does have the ability to add custom keystrokes for just about anything on the the ribbon, but the entire interface is not accessible via the keyboard; such as the zoom controls. Camtasia does not offer a lot in the way of keyboard access. So my request is that both of these applications be customizable for assigning keyboard shortcuts to the entire interface.

Yes! Camtasia has a lot of features I use all the time that have no keyboard assignment. Being able to assign my own would improve my efficiency tremendously.

Thanks for the feedback! What sorts of actions would you like that don't have actions? Would you expect to be able to draw on an image in Snagit, or is it more of menu interaction that isn't there?

In Camtasia, I copy and paste the visual properties all the time. I do a lot of systems and software screencast editing. Having a solid "home" view is important for continuity. Others include adding silence to an audio selection and adding markers to the top-most media track instead of the timeline.

Well for starters you can fix a couple of things that currently don't work via the keyboard. First when I drop the stamp styles list down using the keyboard I have no control over selecting the stamp set or individual stamp that I want to insert, unless the mouse cursor is directly over the stamp list. It shouldn't matter where on the screen this the cursor is at, if this stamp style list is visible I should be able to navigate through that list using the keyboard arrow keys and tab or shift tab.

That makes sense, thanks Christy. I've passed this on to the Snagit team as well.

Second again using the keyboard shortcuts, when the blur tool is active the pixelate keyboard shortcut of PX, which conflicts with the pen tool keyboard shortcut P. I'll let you know more about Camtasia when I get into it in depth. Thanks
