Constraining of Audio Track ... Really Bad for Editing

I like to edit my audio track separately from my video, and then blend them together as a separate process. In the new Camtasia Studio 8, the audio track has a max height of about an inch and that’s all the larger it goes. There is about 4 inches of unused black space above it that I should be able to heighten my audio track. I really hate the constraining of the audio track in version 8. There is so much wasted space on the timeline. Now I have to import my audio into Audacity or some other third party tool to do my audio editing. This is really really bad. I wish I could go back to the previous version.

Hi Scott,

In our latest maintenance release (version 8.0.3) we have increased the maximum track height.

We still have the slider beneath your tracks on the bottom left. However we also allow you to go just a little bit taller by dragging the top of each track up even more. Hopefully that's enough room for what you need to accomplish!
