In Camtasia 7, you were able to copy and paste zooms to reuse them further down the Timeline. Can you Copy Zooms in Camtasia 8?

Hi PJ,

Great question! You can copy and paste animations (which includes zooms) using Camtasia 8.1, which was released today.

To copy and paste a single animation:
1. Right click an animation and choose "Copy."
2. Move the playhead to the new location.
3. Right click the clip and choose "Paste."

To move all animations on a clip, hold the key and click each animation. Then, drag them to a new location.

To copy and paste more than one animation:
1. Hold the key and click each animation.
2. Right click the selection and choose “Copy.”
3. Reposition the playhead, right click the media and choose “Paste.”

For more information, watch this video tutorial: http://www.techsmith.com/tutorial-cam...

If you have Camtasia Studio 8 installed (trial or licensed version), you can update to the new version by clicking Help > Check for Updates or by downloading and installing here: http://www.techsmith.com/download/cam...

Hi Maker,

To copy the visual properties (for example, the state of a clip after an animation has occurred):
1. Right-click on the clip with the properties you want copied.
2. Select "Copy visual properties" from the context menu.
3. Right-click on the clip you want to paste the properties to.
5. Select "Paste visual properties" from the context menu.

Hope this helps! If you have any other questions, feel free to let us know :).

Thanx.

Is a litle bit strange. Sometimes it works and sometimes not.
I did not find out why yet.
Is there a possibility not to hav an effect at the beginning of the 2nd clip, where I copy the properties to?
