I used to copy pictures from docx files to edit them in snagit editor and use them in new word documents.
To do that I just select the picture in word, ( docx) copy it and use "new image from clipboard" in snagit. ( I don't do a screen capture of the word document)

With snagit 12: no problem
With snagit 13 it work but pictures quality are awful. Very low resolution. Impossible to use...

I also copy images from Word files as well as other types of files. This is very disappointing to hear that the quality of the image is bad with v13.

Hello,

I'm sorry for this trouble!

I have tested this myself and cannot replicate this issue.

Will you please let me know your exact steps, including where the original image comes from and how it gets into Word? For instance, it is pasted in, linked, etc.

Also, how are you pasting into Snagit? A new canvas or part of an existing one?

Also what OS are you using.

hello
i use windows 10 64bits with 32 gb ram.
You can see in the screenshot bellow the difference
i copy and past a previously captured screenshot from DOCX and past it in snagit editor using "new from clipboard"
then i bring back the screenshot to word using "share to word"

i snagit the word containing the 2 pictures and use magnifier and callout to build the picture bellow

WARNING... in fact i have the same issue with snagit 12 but i never see it before.
Well, it's a problem to solve but not a V13 problem.

Hello,

I am using Win 8 and I do NOT see the issue you describe using the following process.

  1.  Right-click image in Word and choose Copy.
  2. Start a new canvas in Snagit 13.
  3. Press CTRL+V to paste image into new canvas.
  4. Make any edits.
  5. Choose Word as the Share output.
  6. The image is pasted into Word and now resizing or skewing is occurring.
Can you try this slightly different workflow and see if this works for you?
