I often read various web pages on a particular subject and I need to summarise ideas in text format by taking snippets from the webpage/ images etc. I need to save the consolidated  text in one file (email, word/ text document etc)

I can use a Word document but to extract text from webpages and web apps to word you need to go through a number if steps (including grabbing the text from a clip, as an example).

The crux of my question is: is there a simple snapit function/ approach where you highlight area of interest, right click to copy the equivalent text and then paste into the word document... then repeat the process until you get the summary of key points?

2/ Or save text of interest as bitmaps then turn

I would create/save a new preset with the following settings and assign a hotkey combo such as 'Ctrl+G' to it. If you use the profile from the 'Capture Preferences' window once, with the 'Big Red Button' in the 'Capture Preferences' window, then, afterward, you will invoke the same capture with the 'Prt Scn' key as opposed to your hotkey combo. If 'Copy to Clipboard' is selected (it's off in my image) in the preset, you should be able to paste directly into your document.
