CS9 = Bleccch!

Please let the development team know my opinion. They have succeeded in ruining everything good about the Camtasia Studio UI, up through version 8.6.  I am a long-time CS user, and a high-level one, producing highly-polished, successful commercial tutorial series. CS 9's UI is abysmal! Why did they feel compelled to change EVERYthing? It is now very awkward and confusing, not just different, but far worse, than the near-perfect CS 8. Hate it! I've now tried 9 twice, and have permanently rolled-back to the far-superior CS 8! A terrible shame for such a great product from such a great company. Thank you for your time.

I'm certainly no insider nor a fanboy but I'm shocked that you're not loving the 64-bitness. It handles all sorts of things the older version never could. Of course, that's just my experience but it looks like your focus is totally (or maybe I'm not reading it correctly) on UI. I think it's fine to make suggestions about improvement - there are a few things that I'm still not a fan of - but I assume they'll continue to develop, refine and improve and they've finally answered the main request to make the program 64-bit. I haven't had a single crash using 9 and I lived with all sorts of workarounds with 8 to preemptively prepare for the next crash. So, with all respect, I totally disagree with you. As always, your mileage may vary but I was one of TechSmith's harshest critics before the rewrite and I have nothing but sighs of relief now.
