I would love to be able to add in cursor movement after i have recorded my video. Sometimes i find i have a piece of video i could use but there are no cursor movements to point to what i want. If we could turn the cursor movement off for just a small section along the timeline and then add in our new cursor movement that would be very useful.
thank you.

Camtasia Studio 8 was just released and we've implemented the ability to animate any type of media on the timeline. Here is a video of me animating a callout over top of a video: http://www.screencast.com/t/CVsvxgpKi

And while we still don't have a way to directly modify the cursor position, with this capability we have a workaround that matches what you were asking for. I'll demonstrate: http://www.screencast.com/t/76unIvFY9rf

It's not the easiest thing to do, but it accomplishes what you were asking for.

Here are some cursors that you can use, I've created all the larger ones (which may be useful for when you want to zoom in and have the cursor still look nice): http://www.screencast.com/t/2Mm6S6nEu

I'd urge you to download Camtasia Studio 8 and try it out!

Recently, I had to create a 30 minute tutorial video our in house software. I've been using the trick of animating a .png mouse icon graphic. Took me nearly an entire week. Ridiculous. I've been waiting for this feature since someone asked for it 3 years ago. I'm going to start using Captivate as I can modify the cursor movements for an entire video within a day, and with much more professional results. I can't waste time on animating cursor movements by hand anymore. I like Camtasia, but this feature is critical in my opinion.
