Cursor Highlight Changing Color

I added the cursor highlight effect to a clip of my Camtasia video project. I wanted to change the color of the highlight to be on brand. I selected the cursor highlight bar and changed the color and opacity of the highlight circle in properties. When I played the clip my color only appears towards the end of the clip and and not for the entire duration. I tried it again with the playhead at different positions, including after the entire clip but can't seem to make the color stay consistent throughout. Is there anything I can do to have consistent color without leaving it as the default?

Hi Alison,
Have you split the clip? If you have you should be able to select all the required clips, right click and select Stitch selected media. Then the effect will be added to the whole clip.
If it's not split, let me now and I'll try come up with another option.
I hope this helps,
Jayne

Jayne's comment is a good suggestion. Another likely "culprit" is that you have animations on your clip. All of the properties you change (say) after an animation will be part of that animation change, leaving the properties before it as they were. If you have something you want to change "globally", while other properties remain animated (like position on screen?) then first click the "animation editing mode" button in the upper left of the properties area. Make sure to turn it back off when you're done!
